SquadJams ("we," "our," or "us") operates the SquadJams mobile application (the "App") and this website. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App or visit this site.
Overview
SquadJams is designed to work primarily on your device. Team rosters, player profiles, photos, and audio files you choose are stored locally on your phone. We do not operate a user account system or cloud sync service for roster data at this time.
Information stored on your device
When you use the App, the following data is stored locally on your device:
- Team names, abbreviations, and color preferences
- Player names, jersey numbers, and roster order
- Profile photos you select from your device gallery
- Audio files you select for walk-up songs, along with trim start/stop settings
- App settings, including premium status
This information remains on your device unless you delete it within the App, uninstall the App, or clear the App's storage through your device settings.
Information we do not collect directly
We do not require you to create an account to use SquadJams. We do not directly collect your name, email address, or roster content on our own servers as part of normal App use.
Purchases and Google Play
If you purchase SquadJams Premium (yearly subscription or lifetime unlock), payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. We receive purchase-related information needed to verify premium access, such as purchase tokens and product identifiers, through Google Play Billing and our backend verification service.
Google's handling of payment and account data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Google Play account settings.
Permissions
The App may request device permissions to provide core functionality, including:
- Access to photos or media so you can assign player profile images and walk-up songs from your device
- Audio playback so walk-up songs can play during use
- Network access to verify in-app purchases with Google Play
You can revoke permissions at any time in your device settings, though some features may stop working.
Website
This marketing website is static and does not use analytics cookies or account login. Standard web server logs from your hosting provider may record IP addresses and request metadata if you deploy this site to a web server.
Children's privacy
SquadJams is intended for coaches, team managers, and sports organizers. The App may be used to manage rosters that include minors, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own services. Content such as player names and photos is entered and stored locally by the App user.
Data retention and deletion
Data stored locally on your device is retained until you delete it or uninstall the App. Purchase verification records maintained for premium access are retained only as long as needed to provide the service and comply with applicable obligations.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
